    Why such a low rating? This game is a great remake and a great introduction to some of the most iconic characters, items, settings and music in the series for the western audiences who were unaware of the origins and the lore or the original Marth era until now.

      Right? I thought it would be worse, but map design & pacing are really good. They could have expanded the characters, but otherwise a very solid entry.

      That's a really bad thing though sadly, as much as people like to say graphics don't matter, art direction at the very least surely does, and this falls short of that. You get used to how shit it is after a while I guess but it's bad enough that it's definitely worth docking points over

      nah the levels themselves are absolute slogs as well. Rather than cleverly designed maps, you just get enemy spammed and it takes ages to clear out some later stages. Moreso than future FE games.

    Playing Merciless makes me value this game a bit more, but would be rated a lot higher if it didn't have ambush spawns, that is just unfair.
