Final Fight: Streetwise

Primo post-GTA mangling of both its setting and its open world, neither of which really fit Final Fight all that well, and the story gets absolutely ridiculous and loses all groundedness by the time the credits roll, and on top of all that it's loaded with creatively dead-end minigames and asides that distract from the fighting. There's a lot to swallow to get to the good stuff, but Streetwise has one of the better ideas of how to handle beat-em-ups in a fully 3D space and makes the jump a bit better than its predecessor Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance. A plethora of combos, upgrades and weapons make the core experience decently fun, although the numerous boss battles are all terrible.
