Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood

STB is a weird kind of monster for me... the story is not as fun or strong as Heavensward or Shadowbringers, but it has so much content that design-wise I favor it above those two expansions... it's weird.
Also this gave us the best DRK duty, so I can't complain.

tremendously disappointing relative to Heavensward. Contrasting the unfathomable hype I had walking into Ishgard for the first time and awe I felt exploring nearly all of HW's zones (the Sea of Clouds is eh), the realization that I was just going through the motions half way into Stormblood's MSQ was a tragedy. nonetheless, there is good stuff here. Zenos is the coolest one-dimensional, superficial villain in the world.

Good lord, fuck this expansion. What a massive step back from Heavensward. Story is mediocre and my fucking god the Ivalice quests are some of the worst shit I've ever seen.

better than hw. hw is trying to do more and kinda fails at it and ends up pretty boring most of the time. this is just trying to be fun enjoyable action and it succeeds at it fairly well, makes a lot of the characters feel more lively and personable
