Back in the 360/PS3 era when all those "Sonic & Sega All-Stars" games were being made there was a rumour about "Sonic & Sega All-Stars style Fighters Megamix" and that never materializing is one of the greatest missed opportunities in gaming imo. That and the "Capcom vs. Capcom" demo made with the UMvC 3 engine after Capcom lost the rights for Marvel that got shot down by higher ups :/
