Exerion

Exerion is pretty cool! Playing it gives the vibe of the nauseating air ripping like Sega's later After Burner, as the parallax backgrounds unravels before you as you try to direct the weight of your aeroplane. It's a true feat of programming ingenuity. The gameplay itself is most similar to Galaga, except where in Galaga you'd fight enemies in static formations, in Exerion they are always on the move, always dogfighting. Since the SG-1000 also has two buttons, you also get two modes of attack! You get a regular twin shooter, and other one is a turbo function single shooter, that is useful in many key situations but deplets the "shots" supply you get from defeating enemies, and this system of just two forms of attack that feed into one another is so simple but effective.

There are six stages in all, after which they start repeating.
