Easily the grindiest and most cherry-tapping of all DQs, but my god some of these locations. The final dungeon is one of my favorite dungeons in any video game, and that late-game twist…wow. For a game with an extremely under-developed narrative, that portion gave me chills.
Probably should say of all the latter DQs. Can't step to a NES RPG when it comes to grinding. As for the final boss, party comp takes a strong amount of trial-and-error, and in order to make use of Alltrades Abbey you are going to grind A LOT. Seeing as levels reset with vocations, they aren't a great indicator of progression, and God forbid you go for locked classes which require hours of cherry-tapping just to unlock. So it's possible to get all the way to the last boss, find out your party comp won't work, and have to grind for many hours more. And level progression is SLOW.
nostalgia yk?
