This small one-man indie RPG has somehow managed to become one of my top turn-based JRPGs of all time. Super intelligent turn-based strategy design, with well-tuned class system and enemy bosses that feel like satisfying puzzles waiting to be solved. This is paired with a voxel open-world that you can explore, filled with dungeons, tons of secrets, sequence breaks, and much more.

Put about 150 hours into it across two playthroughs. Probably one of the most challenging and thoughtful turn-based RPG combat systems I've played. The bosses demanded fairly optimal play on high difficulties, but I never felt railroaded into cheese or that there weren't numerous possible approaches. The flexible progression and world exploration gets more and more incredible as you explore too, and see so many cool unexpectedly interconnected areas and sequence breaks. There's no story to the game but it's overall a masterpiece of game design
