Crime Fighters

Unfortunately can't really hold a candle to Final Fight, though this deserves credit for coming out earlier in the same year. Some charming moments of cartoon violence, like the main character getting squashed into an SD sprite by a falling insurance billboard, crushed flat by an opening door, or electrocuted by a neon sign, but overall this actually has a nice gritty and gritty style to it. Shame that there aren't really any memorable character designs, because the gameplay really isn't deep enough to carry the game on its own beyond a single playthrough. Definitely not an awful beat-em-up though, and the crunchy electric guitar soundtrack is pretty fun.
