Creativerse

I played this game with a group of friends once; I didn't really enjoy it as I quickly got bored of creating an environment with the games confusing layout.

this game went from somewhat amazing to a complete mess over the course of 2015-2017, and I see it as a complete and utter shame.

despite being essentially a Minecraft ripoff, Playful's 'Creativerse' actually had enough originality to it to make it stand out and even rival its influencer in some aspects - looking at the unique and memorable enemies, beautiful aesthetic, intriguing survival mechanics (world layers, wiring...), a killer soundtrack...

all of this went flying out of the window though when they introduced the 'Creativerse Pro' membership and the subsequent induction of in-game currency. This basically allowed you to spawn in items at your own will upon their purchase, forcing you out of the pre-established survival objective and ruining the fun for everyone. Not only this but you were given straight-up advantages such as the ability to use a hang glider and further world editing for convenience. so in a way, it was being painted out to look like that getting pro was ideal, and me, a foolish 11 year old at the time, did just that, and it destroyed the game completely.

event though this is presented as a choice, the game in recent years has become increasingly reliant on these purchases by each update, even though you're presented with a pretty hardcore survival concept at first.
