When I was about 13, I was stuck on a farm for a weekend, and the only video game available was a Genesis version of this, for reasons that would take too long to detail. There was other stuff to do, and once I had wrung all like, 90 minutes of entertainment I could from this, I chased snakes and explored shit, but I played this game thoroughly, maybe more than most.

For the uninitiated, let me explain.

You boot the game, suffer through its menu, pick a bus, and screw around. This is a full, if brief, description of what you do. You dont do anything else. Perhaps you could say that the player also changes the stats on the screen, through their action, but thats getting granular.

The menu has a chip tune(?) track that sounds like the recorded, audible sins of a random number generator, and is just displays a picture of a bus. I remember this discordant hell made me more interested, not less, which I still find odd to this day.

After that you pick a bus. There are options, they have stats, the stats are different, the buses look different, its all very clear that most of the effort in this games production went into the selection screen.

In short; There sure are buses.

But once you select one, you just... go right. Or in reverse, so left. There's a cool glitch where you can go backwards, and clock up crazy mileage. I remember there being a speed bump on the map sometimes, but its otherwise featureless, and small. Horizontally, half of the screen is dominated by the bus.

So, I tried out all the buses and got bored, and if I wasn't at a farm, itd take less time than that. Feels more like a joke than anything, and is very funny if so. But as a game, its stinky poodoo.
