It seems like most people appreciated that this was easier than the original, but it felt dumbed down to me. Still a good game, and I liked that the story was expanded, upgraded graphics, and such, but it seemed to go beyond just modernizing the mechanics into full on hand-holding when it came to the gameplay. Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I think I prefer Blaster Master: Overdrive. Hopefully, that'll be liberated from the Wii some day. There's no way to buy it at the moment that I know of.
