This platform should be used for games which are played by connecting with standard networking protocols and software to a remote computer. The most common example would be a MUD game played over the internet using a standard telnet client.

Online games played in a web browser should be under the Browser platform. Any other online games which require download of a specific client should be associated with the platform(s) on which the client software runs.
