Game company
Originally the software wing of Ariola Records, Ariolasoft were the German distributor of the Sega Master System in the late 1980s and published titles in Europe for several major companies that had not yet opened European offices, including Activision and Electronic Arts, in addition to developing their own titles for 8-bit home computers. They changed their name to United Software in 1990, before being acquired and closed by the German branch of MicroProse in 1993.
