Maxis South

Established in 1994, Cinematronics were acquired by EA Maxis in 1996 and renamed to Maxis South. The studio was closed in 1997 when Maxis were in turn acquired by Electronic Arts. They are best known for 3D Pinball for Windows – Space Cadet, a pinball game that was bundled with several releases of Microsoft Windows throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
