Activision Pro Sports

Activision Pro Sports is an unofficial term for Activision's 'Pro' franchise, which covers a variety of extreme sports games involving skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, and BMX cycling. Titles in the franchise generally have a celebrity endorsement from the respective sport they represent. Following the success of Neversoft Entertainment's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Activision created a publishing division known as Activision O2 that developed several 'Pro' subfranchises between 2001 and 2003. Although the division eventually dissolved, Activision continued to develop spinoff franchises such as Tony Hawk's Underground and, over a decade later, a followup title and remake (Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 respectively).
