I really wish that there was a version of Another Eden that didn't have the gacha. It feels really immersion breaking to me. I would buy a full price Another Eden game in a heartbeat. Though it seems that the free to play strategy has worked wonders for them, considering how much money that can pull in. I love the story and the gameplay, I just wish that the gacha was either done differently or wasn't there at all. I feel like that's my usual opinion on gacha games, I wanna see a version of it were that aspect of it wasn't there.

This revitalized my love for this franchise. It's a good game. Lackluster story, charmingly jank characters, and a gameplay so addicting and relaxing that I sometimes open up my first save file to shiny hunt. Not because I even want or care that much about shinies, but because it's an excuse to spend more time in a world that I love so much. As a story, it leaves a lot to be desired. But as a game? Genuinely fucking incredible. I feel like everything I got out of this game wasn't said by it. The open area being this place of dangerous peace, giving you an appreciation for a world that will try to kill you, but is worth loving anyway. The fear of change, of the unknown, being the seed of doubt that causes the town to disown you. The coexistence with Pokemon, done in a way where these creatures felt like characters rather than the shining Pokemon gimmick. I love it. It's got issues, and yet it's everything I've ever wanted. I'm so, so glad that this exists.

Has less end game content but I just love the story and the places it goes. I replayed the game a few years ago and the story isn't the perfection that I remember, but I still get so much out of it. It means so much, because it means so much to me.

Plays refer to how many times I got to credits. If we're counting every new save file, I probably have hit double digits.
