Very dated, obviously being on the original xbox and ported to 360. Playing it in one segment is probably a bad idea but I did and I felt plenty of pacing issues on top of the technical hinderances. But still, my experience was more positive than not and I think this game is still really strong for what it is and when it came out.

One of the most enjoyable military shooters I have ever played. A wide variety of scenes and scenarios, from the snow covered cities in Russia to the deserts in Egypt to Point Du Hoc on D-Day, the game is beautifully done. The only thing that brings my rating down is age, and the technical flaws. It isn't bad by any means, just imperfect, especially from my modern perspective having played shooters since 2009 religiously. Playing through on veteran was absolutely brutal at times, but it never stopped being an enjoyable game, and despite being a short linear shooter, I can see myself playing through again at some point (on an easier difficulty, fuck Hill 400 and the Battle for Caen)

This game is not terrible but it is surrounded by two incredible games, and it has the most noticeable flaws of the first three in my opinion. The campaign aims for a more cinematic approach which I think is largely uninteresting, and the game is extremely technically flawed compared to CoD2. Still fun, still worth playing, but it is very middle of the road. I never played multiplayer when this was out, so I can't comment.

Excellent campaign, and possibly the most culturally significant multiplayer experience of the last 15 years, because as much as some people hate CoD, this game broke ground and introduced so many things that have lasted the test of time and bled into so many other games. It was immensely flawed, but spawned some of my favorite gaming experiences ever.

Absolutely brilliant. Survival horror that evokes what makes the old games great while streamlining the gameplay, creating an immaculate atmosphere and genuine sense of dread brought purely through scarcity of resources and stressful situations. As a non-horror fan, this is possibly the second best horror experience I have ever had in a game or in any context.

Has its flaws but at the end of the day, this is one of my favorite games of all time. I played it religiously as a kid, and even revisiting it in 2020 to go for all the achievements was a fucking blast. The variety in stages and gameplay, the silly chao raising mini game, the completion criteria is a grind but in a good way, this game is a classic.

One of the most challenging but rewarding completions I have. Maybe the most intense 100% game I have achievement wise. 700+ hours for 1,000,000% and the 25th person to finish Afterbirth+ on Xbox 3 months after release.
