Jaina Proudmoore

A character in the Warcraft series. Jaina is an extremely powerful human archmage specializing in frost and hydromancy. She is a stalwart member of the Alliance and one of its most important figures throughout the history of the series. She has been a key ally and advisor to both Varian and his son Anduin Wrynn in their role as king of Stormwind. She is so close to their family that Anduin sees her as his "Aunt." She has been a member of the Council of Six in Dalaran, the ruler and founder of Theramore before its destruction, and is the current Ruler of Kul Tiras her homeland.

She is the daughter of Daelin Proudmoore and Katherine Proudmoore and the sister of Derek Proudmoore and Tandred Proudmoore. Despite being in warring factions she has had a long friendship with Horde leaders Thrall and Baine Bloodhoof. In her youth, she was romantically involved with the then Prince of Lordaeron Arthas Menethil. She very briefly considered a romance with fellow mage and the then Prince of High Elves Kael'thas, but ultimately nothing came of it.
