Hey, I enjoyed reading some of your reviews. I should start writing some myself. 69 Love songs is one of my absolute favourite albums too. And The Mountain Goats i love it! I should thank your country for offering the world so much great music. Thank you USA.
Just one thing. I am a bit confused about the relationship between the review and rating on some of your albums. Like:
Carrie and Lowell, The Sunset Tree, Heretic Pride and The Life of the World to Come. No big deal hehe, but i just wanted to let you know :-)
@Allvaer, a lot of the times I'll go through and rerate stuff if my opinions of them change, but then I forget about the review. Thanks so much for letting me know! Happy to hear you enjoy my reviews.
Glad i could help! I like how you experienced Carrie and Lowell growing on you. I think a lot of good music need a lot of digesting on our parts. One of the first albums i found that out with was Radioheads OK Computer back when i was 15-16. It seems like that was true for a lot of people of my generation. Have you experienced any more albums that didn't move you clearly in one direction on first listen, but you still felt an urge to revisit them? Like there was something more there, but you could not explain why, you just felt it?
