I am no longer Easing the At (due to the Bum being a Bitch), but I find it more comfy on here. I just wish I got some more people from the board still around.
What are you listening to? What did you think of ELLE?
Yeah, same here - I always thought of it as a sorta/kinda performance art platform, but the last few months really steered the "fun" people away and made it a strange power-play-arena. I was actually surprised that there are some people who seem to take anything I said online seriously in a venue where regular posters would do stuff like that. Sad to hear about those issues, hope you are a stronger/healthier Bruce now (MARTHAAAAAA).
So what are you into these days? I just saw Jackie and damn CRIED. Moonlight also completely wrecked my emotions, it's such an incredibly rich film and now the Oscars even cemented it...
'Magino Village' is a real eye-opener for me. I was always at best mildly interested in the documentary (and its pretentions of "truth") but this is the stuff of heavens! By an oddball mix of genres and topics that shouldn't work together and don't and somehow do over a 4h course, by taking subjectivity as its starting point and not some Quest for Truth. That said, good look tracking it down with English subs, I went to a city close to mine to see it but his other stuff is basically as hard to come around to here (though the itro guy said Ogawa's pretty much a hero in the East?), at least in decent visual quality. Though there seems to be movement and hoping for English-language DVD releases soon!
Begs the question though: is 'Skull Island' really THAT good? :o
And yes I'm doing pretty funkin' fine, though a tad too occupied to my liking. Your movie watching pace has slowed down quite a bit, so that must mean you've been busy with (even) greater things ? ;-)
