Interesting! I'll reread it when I listen to the album, to gain more understanding of the first part of his review.

Yeah. The sampling is great. The production is great. It's great. I love how the beats and samples slowly and subtly morph as Torture Chamber plays on-- a scream here a little twinkling of synth there... Fantastic. I wasn't so fond of the more overt sampling like the constant guitar in Time Outt and Rock and Roll, but it's not that big a deal.

Aww, only 3 stars. Is that Flaherty album your favorite solo saxophone jazz album?

    Haha, you noticed those eh?

One of my friends asked for a movie ticket for the first two movies for his birthday gift. He bought another ticket for his friend who couldn't make it, so I went with him instead so he wouldn't go alone. Last one I just saw because a few of my friends who I hadn't seen for months crashed at my dorm room for the weekend and they wanted to watch the movie. So I watched that too.

I think my hate for Madoka died out, but I still really dislike it. Man, and that third movie sucks, I think.

It was showing at an art museum's theater for about a weekend, so not that long a run. Yeah, it was more for the social experience rather than watching the movie. Before, I rated the films higher than the tv series just because I saw it with friends; making smart-aleck comments and jokes made it more fun, I think.

It was Madoka trying to be End of Evangelion/Adolescence of Utena, except without the sense of finality. $$ Gotta milk that cash cow $$

That sucks. I wish theaters that released more independent and foreign and etc. stuff were more common. I'm only getting the chance now because I'm in Honolulu for college.

That's what happens <_< Definitely going to be a second season. The third film is about (if you want to know) Homura's despair over Madoka's suffering because of her god-like role. Lotsa stuff happens but, at the end, Madoka attempts to remove the despair from Homura's soul gem (since she became a witch basically), but Homura has so much love that she overpowers Madoka and rewrites the universe's laws (????) and she becomes a new god that represses Madoka's powers so that Madoka can live as a normal person in the place where the story began, along with the other cast members It kinda makes no sense. And the tv series had a fine conclusion that didn't need a sequel! It's sooooo bad

Mushishi is great. Same team, same style, it's like there hasn't even been an 8 year absence. It's very much the same as the first season, so I'd recommend it.

And Ping Pong is like the second best of the season. Yuasa doesn't go as all-out as he does with Tatami Galaxy (no surreal dream sequences or monochromatic color schemes or goofy humor), but it still has that Yuasa flair. Lots of striking use of perspective and comic-book-like sectioning of the screen, etc. I don't know how much I like the story/writing so far, but it's definitely not bad.

yeah, it's all right so far. small community tho. yeah, it's just rating shows by seasonal increments or, even further, just rating by episodes. if you want to catalog your tv stuff i'd recommend it.
