Oh!! I need to go through their back-catalogue yet, and maybe re-rate both The Seer and To Be Kind; it's been a while. They're both super solid releases, though.
I also want to eventually get around to reviewing them; we'll see when that comes. I've got one helluva list of stuff to write about first, not to mention stuff with KURE.
I mean, when I think of artists that accomplish similar things my thoughts immediately go to groups like Bloodiest or Arca (for heavier stuff, although they're by no means the same genre or palette); Nicolas Jaar also springs to mind. I've not listened to GY!BE for a whole now, so no comment there; I could buy Boards of Canada even if I don't totally fall into that camp.
I'm tryna radio with them (but it's been really slow to start; hopefully that'll change soon - it's kind of out of my control); I've written with them since August. The stuff I have tagged with "kure" on my profile has all been published there.
