Don't take my ratings seriously. I'm pretty bad at assigning numbers to music and I'm pretty much doing it for fun and cataloging purposes.
I'm not as open minded as I'd like to be. God knows when I'll get into any sort of disco or house music; not because I don't like them, it's just that I find more interesting stuff every day (as you can see, my wishlist is kind of overwhelming). I'm trying to expand my horizons on traditional music, jazz, western classical, non-western classical, avant-garde music, all kinds of folk (especially more on the free/psych side of the universe), all kinds of rock (mainly post-punk, noise rock, post-rock, psychedelic rock etc.), american primitivism, blues, soul and other sorts of sound art.
I've been being serious (ha!) about music for only three years (as of 2015) so I guess it shows.
"I only say I listen to Pink Floyd to look cool. I don't actually listen to them" - me, 2012
At some point I decided I'd just not care about my rating scale anymore, instead inflating my ratings because I just love music that much. That means that my ratings are meant for rough reference and cataloging and never for measuring how much I like stuff.
