Game collection
About my musical tastes - I like jazz, especially from the 1960s. Other than that, girls with guitars are cool by default, though I don't always like their music. Men with guitars are acceptable if they can play. For more details, enter and find out. But beware, there are some terrible, terrible things in my collection.
About my ratings - Ratings reflect how much I like a record, not necessarily how good it is. 4.5 stars is a top-class rating for an exceptional record; 5 stars are reserved for those that really touch my heart or mess with my brain in a good way, and there are very few of those. You will never hear me call any album "the best album ever", and I am trying very hard (sometimes without success) to avoid the term "overrated". I have listened to everything that I have rated in its entirety, usually more often than once. Nevertheless, I am known to change my ratings, sometimes dramatically, on re-listening.
About media: As far as I'm concerned, digital music is merely a simulacrum and as such does not exist. Consequently, any "digital" items on my RYM collection are not meant to acknowledge their (non-)presence, but only to remind me that I either spent money on something that isn't really there or that somebody was nice enough to offer a free digital download of their music.
About my reviews - Sometimes when I don't like something I tend to exaggerate, generalize, make brash statements. It's nothing personal. Just take my reviews with a grain of salt.
About my own music - you can rate it (and also listen to selected tracks) here and here. If you want a copy of something, contact me.
About my comic strip - I've been publishing an online comic strip called Stock Characters since early April: Facebook version | Web version. If you like absurdity, check it out. You might be in for a treat.
About my moderating and cataloging on RYM - if you don't like something I did, contact me. Many things are negotiable. As a librarian with many years of professional cataloging experience, I tend to have a strong opinion on some issues, and I sometimes mix up the cataloging rules at work and the conventions at RYM. Sorry about that. Please bear with me.

Musically, it's not quite as good as Playboys (a.k.a. Picture of Heath), which Baker and Pepper recorded only a few months later. There is no real cohesion here to generate an 'album' feel, and both players aren't at their technical best. There are even a few trio tracks without Baker and Pepper here.
