5 stars, 95% + - I don't think I'll ever get tired of listening to this. Things with 5 stars go very well with my personality, they are a part of me, or maybe have changed how I listen to music or often all three. I crave things similiar to these albums. My personal canon.

4.5 stars, 90% - 94.9% - Shit yes, this stuff is awesome. Every time I listen to something in this tier I hear something I didn't before or its just plain groovy. It also has probably influenced my future music listening. I would consider this personal canon as well but 2nd tier.

4 stars, 80% - 89.9 % - Albums I can listen to at any time and be perfectly content. Perhaps some of the tracks aren't as strong as the rest but that isn't always the case and doesn't keep me from loving the album as a whole. Recommended if you are looking for some good music.

3.5 stars, 70% - 79.9% - I really enjoyed myself listening to anything rated 3.5. There was probably some weak spots but it definitely deserves more listens before I know exactly how much I like it. OR I know exactly how much I like it and its about this much -- pretty friggin' good but not holy shit amazing. Still a great score, potentially can go higher after another listen or two. Recommended if you already consider yourself a fan of the artist who made the album, are heavily into the genre, or are looking for music to listen to and are willing to take a chance.

3 stars, 60% - 69.9% - Its pretty good, but either I feel like I'm missing something, the artist is playing it safe, its not a fully formed idea, it's missing something, there's one or two really good tracks but the rest is filler, I know the artist can do better, or I think the artist has potential but this release is otherwise lacking.

2.5 stars, 50% - 59.9% - Is average. I'm probably not going to listen to this again but if someone else puts it on or its on the radio or something I'm not going to kill myself. I don't rate a lot of things 2.5 and lower because I often don't finish the whole record.

2 stars, 40% - 49.9% - Why did I even listen to this? I probably bought the album at the record store as a random pick and my intuition was wrong or it was a release by someone I enjoy and I was seriously disappointed. There might maybe be one good track.

1.5 stars, 39.9% and under - Anything rated lower I truly hated and there isn't much I rate that low, so basically the same desciption as 2 stars but there is no redeeming quality.

I'm just some guy who realized one day there is a lot more music than I thought there was out there. I mean, I knew there was a lot, but there was one day some time ago that I cannot pinpoint where I just had this revelation that there are probably as many albums out there as stars in our galaxy.

It is a source of great enjoyment and fun for me sifting through this endless world of music seeing what I like and what I do not. The feeling of finding an album or band/artist that fits perfectly to your personality is unmatched, its superior even to finding a new lover because that shit sticks with you forever.
