The list of favourites is just a sample, but it does include most of my favourite artists (in no particular order after the first few) plus some others which are there to indicate other genres I enjoy. Recommendations are always welcome!

It's simple - I rate by how often I play the album. I just react to music emotionally and I'm not good at analysing it (just read my reviews!)
5 - I can't imagine a time when I wouldn't want to play these albums as often as I can fit in to my life
4.5 - Played frequently, or outstanding when released/purchased but played less often now
4 - Played reasonably often, or excellent when released/purchased and still played occasionally
3.5 - I like these, but rarely listen to them now
3 - OK, but not often played
2.5 - OK but I never have/will really be into it
2 - I am unlikely to play these again
1.5 and below - Don't like it, don't get it
