The vast majority of my ratings are albums and EPs. I only rate singles if they were only released as a single and don't appear on any albums or EPs. The only exception is "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" by The Smiths because that's my all-time favorite song.

4.0-5.0: Highly recommended. Music that I love and revisit regularly.
3.5: Recommended. Enjoyable and worth revisiting.
3.0: Good enough, but not great. Likely has many flaws, or is unremarkable while still remaining passable. May or may not be recommended.
2.0-2.5: Not my thing, but not necessarily "bad". Not recommended.
0.5-1.5: Garbage
