Hey, good to hear from you. I've seen that project's two albums floating around yahoo auctions, but I haven't bought them yet. I didn't realize it was a big 30 minute track.. I don't have a clue as to what that would sound like, besides possibly at least somewhat improvisational.

It's got Yuji Okada, who was the main guy in the late 80's called King And Country. They were like proto-grunge/jangle pop/college rock; they were going to get some kind of British->Japan distribution deal from a British record label, thanks to one of the members from Television Personalities, but it fell through. They recorded some demos and Kishino helped get that released in 2004 (a s/t album) on the Out One Disc label (I don't know if he started that label, but he's really tied to it). I wouldn't be surprised if Okada was also on some of those tracks on that Kishino compilation.

And Yumiko Otani is on there too (or Nishioka, she must have gotten married). She was in Klara Circus as the vocalist. Her voice is really piercing (can't tell if it's a charm or curse), but they've got a bit of a cult following from the online gaijins. Oh, and Takashi of course. Even the photographer was on previous related albums, lol. Yeah it would be nice to hear; I'll order it someday, if no one else decides to share it. Check your pms.

I had never heard the studio version of that tune, it's nice! Yeah I don't know much about this Toshokan band, other than that Takashi is/was in it. I didn't realize this, but apparently this Itoken guy composed the music to Saga Frontier, so I guess he made this song I put years back on youtube: /watch?v=XeVnjiHXzu8. What a weird coincidence, lol. I watched that La Maison En Petits Cubes short animation; it was nice, I'd never heard of it. Glad the old guy didn't die, lol. Kenji Kondo was one of the main guys behind the group Hi Posi, at least the early albums. Those I know are on suki.

Yeah if you are ever willing to import some of these related works, I and the rest of the scattered fans would be grateful to hear them. Shipping from Japan is a pain in the ass though, which is probably one reason why a lot of this stuff still isn't found on the western side of the Internet yet (others being of course the language barrier, and the fact that the Japanese themselves don't seem to care too much about file sharing, whether it be for legal or personal reasons).

we just happened to have a used copy of it at the record store i work at. i think it had been here forever... i would probably have never thought to put it on if i didn't discover the connection with Harpy.
