The Neon Demon is one cool movie! I can't say I'm a fan of Lesbian necrophilia, but Nicolas Winding Refn has a way of filming that keeps your eyes glued to the screen while Cliff Martinez works his synthwave magic. Glad to find another lover of his style of film. Really need to see Only God Forgives.

Interesting article. It's a shame that his film was considered a box office failure. If a theater near me has a film of Nicolas Winding Refn playing in the future, I will absolutely attend. Films like Drive, The Neon Demon, and Blade Runner are so damn aesthetically pleasing and deserve to be seen on the big screen. I am so pumped for Blade Runner 2049 btw. Probably am going to see it 2 or 3 times in theaters.
Whenever I get the chance, I'll purchase Only God Forgives then. And I'll hold off on Song to Song for a while unless it pops up on Amazon Prime for free or something. But yeah I probably won't like it very much then.
Indeed she is. She's been my celebrity crush for a while and whom I joke that I will make a time machine to marry someday haha. Love The Bangles and she's a major reason why. And yeah, I think I'll watch just about anything Ryan Gosling is in.Btw, did you know that Refn is colorblind?! The reason why his films always are done with such contrasting colors which make it look so cool is because he wouldn't be able to see it otherwise. Amazing that someone with a deficiency to eyesight makes some of the most visually appealing films of my time.
I'll get to watching it soon. But I am still blown away by how much fun Baby Driver was.

I agree on Ryan Gosling. I really need to scope out his other films. Only seen a few of them and love them all as well as the few DiCaprio films that I've seen. Including Titanic which blew me away. (Also another film in which I am proud of my review for) Screw the critics the ship sinking was fantastically filmed and the film score by James Horner is beautiful!
As for Sophie Ellis Bextor, I actually don't like her earlier works as much, as I think her dance-pop is a bit too electronic for my tastes, but her chamber pop/baroque pop mix that she's done for her last two albums is heavenly.
And I definitely recommend Drive. It's got some issues which I purposefully didn't get into, but outside of maybe Spider-Man Homecoming, or maybe Thor Ragnorak. I don't see what movie is going to be funner than that by the year's end/
I still have a lot of "classic films" that I need to look into. But there are plenty of film festival movies that I'd be interested in seeing. I never watched it but I remembered thinking the trailer for The Lobster looked really good. (That has Colin Farrell in it who's starring in The Killing of a Sacred Deer which is how I made the connection)
It all depends on what Amazon, Netflix, or Hulu makes available. Or whatever I feel like spending my money on haha
