Something that irks me about this site is that there seems to be a stigma against having alot of high-rated albums. I'm not going to listen to stuff I dislike, so of course my ratings are going to be high.

One of the world's most renowned critics, Roger Ebert, hands out a perfect rating to a movie about once every month. Although I don't feel I'm that liberal, I think that we shouldnt bne as hard as we are on this site.

Basically, 'meh' years for music have about 1 five-star release, good years have 2 five-stars, and awesome/unachievalbe years have 3 or more. For movies its about 4-5 perfects ever year, as I feel there's enough variety to keep me satisfied.
