Well I guess it's his inflated status that annoys me most, cause I do enjoy him in the 90s. Just not as much as most people.
Swans are pretty good so far, will get more eventually.

MC Lyte, Rah Digga, Jean Grae, Bahamadia... hmm, these are the best I guess. Lots of them in the late 80s too, Roxanne Shante, Queen Latifah (her first album is pretty good) and more.

Well Donuts and Endtroducing are in a class of their own. I'd heavily recommend the Beat Konducta albums and also Onra's Chinoiseries. There's so much more tho.
