I feel like the main reason that Brand New don't stand up anymore is that, unlike Blink-182, there's really no room for reinterpreting them as a gay band.

this is a really dark album because the guy says a lot of swears. the hellish tortured atmosphere is conveyed very well by him screaming like he is being tortured. also, its got a bit of funk and dance-ability in it, largely thanks to the consistent rhythm. i would say more but i was too scared to listen all the way through
