Very nicely said about CoF's The Original Sin. I echo your sentiments about it being intriguing as hell from the band's historical standpoint. Like being able to get a glimpse of an alternate universe where the original lineup stayed intact. I also want to mention just how much I appreciate the increased audible-ness of the bass. I wish Robin's playing would have been that high in the mix because it sounds great. Or maybe it's just Jon's playing that has so much energy?

If that rumor about a remastered Cruelty and the Beast is true, I'd be all for it! That's the one album of theirs that I feel was robbed because of the stupid way the drums were recorded. In many ways, I think it's as good as Dusk and Her Embrace. The production is pretty much on point, otherwise. Especially since the album has a unique atmosphere and sound within their discography.
