I may have to steal your list idea of band merch. I should list the shirts/posters I've bought over the years - partly to remind myself of what I have.
But I'm horrified Orchid is at the bottom of your Opeth albums list! I may have made a fool of myself at a recent Opeth concert shouting for The Apostle in Triumph...
Two of my three favourite Opeth songs are pretty cliche mid-career choices - The Moor and Bleak, the latter being the song that got me into extreme metal of any description - but the third is The Apostrole in Triumph. For whatever reason I adore it, and Orchid in general, for having great extended instrumental passages. But in general I'd say Opeth were best for that run from Still Life to Ghost Reveries. I'd prefer to forget the last two albums... and routinely DO forget them.
I wonder if there's something lurking around my apartment that I've forgotten...
And I can understand the Econoline Crush thing. I love them (and that album), but it's been since around 2004 and it's just ingrained in my taste. Looking back, they were never spectacular, but I listened to their first 3 albums so often that i've grown to love them. Hearing it for the first time now, though? I dunno. I might have had a similar reaction, although Industrial Rock is a part of my taste far more than it is yours.
