Breaking my own rule a bit with this one. In my defence the MTX in this is remarkably unobtrusive because super credits aren't hard to come by during natural gameplay, and medals are way more important. But still MTX is present and that deserves to be mentioned.

Thank god for James Stephanie Sterling!

Three things that influence my ratings:
1. A positive bias for indie games/a negative bias for AAA games
2. A mandatory 1.5 rating reduction for the presence of MTX
3. A general preference for gameplay in my games. (Weird, right?)

    Vanilla WoW had no pay to win elements, and basically no microtransactions (I believe there were some in-game pets for blizzcon and that's about it). There are plenty of valid reasons to dislike WoW but none of your tags apply to the OG. It's not until the second expansion (WotLK) and after that those tags really apply, and I'd say even modern WoW lacks a serious p2w system.

      I don't vote for DLCs separately, I use the primary to judge the whole package. This goes doubly so for a live service, so even if it started off clean, it deserves to be shat on if it became worse later. Plus it definitely is P2W rn, you can buy EXP boosters, flying mounts and all sort of other shit immediately.
