My interests are 1960's blues-rock, 1970's progressive rock, 1980's thrash metal, and 1990's death metal. I am a firm believer that most genres get better when you add the prefix "prog". I tend not to review albums I'm not intimately familiar with, and since I don't continually listen to music I hate, my ratings are skewed to a higher average. I almost never rate individual songs.

People who rate albums by rating each individual song and then averaging the scores need to be rocketed into the sun.

In terms of average scores, it is pretty obvious that metal albums tend to be slightly overrated, and rap albums tend to be hugely underrated.

Genre names are made up and pointless.
