I'm a huge musical enthusiast.. my number one hobbie will be to rate every one of my albums and just listen to the hell out of them, lol. Other than that I love reading, making compilation CD's, Camping (when it's warm), writing (in a more creative fashion, though I haven't done much of that lately), sleeping, nostalgia, history, psychology, etc. I'm pretty liberal overall and easygoing.

My tagged album ratings on the side are equivalent to the number ratings given to any particular album on the site. I tagged them anywhere from 1-5. So if "Revolver" got a 4.42, and I tagged it as a 4.45 or whatever, I pretty much agree with the general assessment. I did this as an additive to the star rating for fun.

I am over this next decade gonna review every album I own and get completely and fully.... and do a comprehensive song rating list where I will rate every song individually that makes up each album. Me and my friend Nick (awake600) will then compare our lists and see how closely we agree on everything... should be a fun pursuit :)

For quite a few bands/artists on here, you should probably add anywhere from .05 or .15 from what the overall rating is on the site to find the general consensus - it seems like there's an increasing number of people who give overly low ratings to be obnoxious. Revolver and Abbey Road were once in the low 4.50's when I first got here. Of course, to bands that barely have any ratings, this doesn't apply so much

yeah, definitely weird, it seems like a lot of the albums are rated lower than what they really should be for certain bands.

Yeah, The Beach Boys in particular probably don't jive well with fans of metal, jazz and technically complicated music. They only appreciate the brains of Pet Sounds... haha.

This is true... not to put down the fans of jazz or metal.... but a song must be based not just on technicality or heaviness/darkness... bands like beachboys are about the harmonies, vocals, melodies and arrangements... and they beat out many bands on all those fronts. "pet sounds" may be the best, but there are many other beachboy albums that contain a lot of great songs that one would love if they like "Pet sounds"... all music just takes a bit of time to sink into your consciousness...
