How my ratings works: I personally love almost all the music in the world, but when it comes to rate an album, I rate based on the genre and the music, like: if a dance-pop song reaches of what a dance-pop song has to be, then is a 5-star for me, if an ambient album doesn't make me feel relaxed or something like that then the rate will be less.
To get 0.5, a song/album HAS to be unlistenable (so if I hate the artist, or if the song is repetitive like in radio stations or YouTube, internet, memes, etc., BUT is listenable, then IT WILL NOT BE 0.5), it just happened 1 time, with a witch house/noise song that was horrible, even for noise music, bad production. so 1-star is listenable but sounds really bad, 2-star is listenable but poor quality of music, 3-star is standard, 4-star means a good song (for the genre), a well-made song, and finally 5-star means a perfect song for the genre.

I have lists for genres that are not totally established in the music, but have been around for some time in the internet, first Future Funk (that eventually became an official genre), or Dreamwave (first as an aka for Synthwave, now closer to Dream Pop music). The "..." in some parts of my lists means that I will going to edit that in some point, and if I have time as well.
