My ratings/reviews etc are mostly generous, impulsive, inconsistent - perhaps even hypocritical. I have no interest in charts, canons or what the self-appointed gatekeepers of good taste consider objectively good music. Because there is no such thing.

My favourite music tends to be unique or idiosyncratic takes on rock/extreme metal genres, but I dabble in classical and electronica, very occasionally some kind of jazz too.

The releases that I have rated 5 stars aren't necessarily flawless or classics but I get a lot out of them and are very dear to me... apart from a few things where I'm just being facetious.
