Here's my rating philosophy: I do not like albums in particular; I like bands and certain songs. An album can hardly be perfect although there are exceptions. If a song reaches a position in the official Swiss single charts, you bet your ass it'll get a point five rating from me! I only acknowledge a band, an album or a song with a 3*+ rating if it either (i) has balls (if you know what I mean;-) or (ii) is psychedelically transcendent or (iii) is at least somehow ambitious and different. I apologize for frequently using foul language, but let's be realistic: I don't see the point in switching to sophisticated Queen's English since a lot of bands I' ve seen live or I'm referring to in some other way throw swear words at their audience and often don't even maintain any other form of communication than vulgar trash talk.

5.0: pure transcendency or: Alice in Chains
4.5: almost perfect
4.0: very good
3.5: good
3.0: acceptable, has its moments
2.5: mediocre, nothing special
2.0: weak
1.5: bad
1.0: very bad
0.50 Cent: The artist should be a'fuckin'shamed.
