Rating System:
0.5 - An utter musical failure, one that never fails to give me a good laugh.
1.0 - A genuinely bad album. Not enjoyable at all and a total waste of time.
1.5 - A boring, unenjoyable album; one that has virtually no redeemable qualities and that I never listen to.
2.0 - A mediocre album; one that's not too bad, but also one that isn't really enjoyable.
2.5 - An average album. These albums have a fairly moderate balance of good and bad qualities.
3.0 - A decent album. A 3.0 is enjoyable, and it has more redeeming qualities than negative qualities.
3.5 - A truly exceptional album; one that's a genuinely pleasant listen and that I revisit on a semi-regular basis.
4.0 - A fantastic album; a gem. These albums are fairly rare, and they have hardly any flaws. They're usually among the best in their genre.
4.5 - A masterpiece. These albums have practically no flaws, affect me emotionally in a way that hardly any other music does, and I listen to them very regularly.
5.0 - An otherworldly experience; an album that transcends what music should be able to do and affects me on a profound level every time I listen to it.

good to see you've finally come across. i tend to find the charts and lists here are way better for finding new music and getting into new genres, so i think you'll like it...
i had no idea you were looking to get into drone, but i'm glad it's starting to click with you... i wouldn't say there's anything to "get" with it (nor is there anything to "get" with any kind of music, it's all a matter of taste), but if you're enjoying it, that's all the better.
gas - pop
tanner garza - regret
caen - the history of your immediate surroundings
eliane radigue - trilogie de la mort (essential tbh)
celer - continents
the field - from here we go sublime (kinda left field, but i'm kinda intrigued to see what you'd think of it)
etc.
i could give you more, but that's a start... i focused mainly on droney shit, so see how you go.
It was inspired by artists like Alcest, Agalloch, Gustavo Santaolalla and Ulver on Kveldssanger album

but honestly if you wander on this website a bit you can find a lot of unusual stuff easily if you know where to look
