Played a few months after release (in April 2020 iirc). First Sakura Taisen game. Came in without expectations. Storyline started off strong, introducing the characters nicely and peaked at the Azami one (Chapter 4). Nosedived from there with cliched plot but not done convincingly. Travesty to not give focus on Hatsuho and instead focus on the lead girl on her damn chapter!!! The art design for the setting and main characters were fine but for some of the others that were commissioned as guest illustrators, it felt like they were from a different setting at times. Should either have had Tite Kubo do all the character illustrations or enforced more consistent art direction. Gameplay was hack 'n' slash which was alright early on but gets too easy later on. Only things perfect was the soundtrack by Tanaka Kohei and the character songs which are done by the seiyuus themselves. Overall, despite the flaws mentioned, I found it to be decent since the storyline was between good and very good till chapter 4 and everything after that was mediocre

Excellent soundtrack, heart moving storyline and good art direction. Also, never seen a mom follow the protagonist throughout so that was nice to see

Fresh take on the Pokemon genre in comparison to the other mainline games by Game Freak, storylines were good. However, it was obviously rushed out to come out just before the end of year holiday. Big bugs: Frame rate issues (Grass gym challenge anyone?), random crashes. Missing features: Psychic gym challenge felt like it was incomplete, sandwich making was awful with the wobble of the ingredients (and you do not sit on anything when eating them) If bugs were kept to minor ones and features intended to be implemented were done so, could have been a 5.0. Instead, we are stuck on pondering the what-ifs

Played on release. Great storyline, visual novel was nice to read along, battling system was decent. Hampered by lack of quality of life updates when doing multiple runs. For e.g. no level scaling for opposing digimons but your partner digimons' levels are retained from the last playthrough (or multiple if you are going for more than 2 endings). Unable to skip chapters in what are essentially just a recap of everything you have done previously (should allow you to start from the fork as long as you fulfill the requirements for the other uncompleted endings)

Good game but marred by gacha and too many skimpy outfits for female characters, which are in abundance as compared to male characters
