In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am going to reevaluate my RYM mission statement once more. Never thought this day would come, but - yep - from this point forward, I shall ONLY be reviewing albums which I deem worthy of **** or better. Clearly I have shirked my responsibility as the Resident Ombudsman and General Cranky Bitch of RYM, and do not see any reasonable way to return to those duties in a consistent fashion in the future. I've got too much Real work to do, and precious time to spare for venting my spleen on self-satisfied Finnish Technical Metal douchebags.

So - Lloyd Dobler is now one of those pathetic simps who appears to like EVERYTHING - one of those kindhearted souls whom I used to look down my big ugly nose at. Oh the humanity.

Exceptions to the **** rule:
I will honor requests, independent of my inevitable star rating.
I may occasionally review sub-**** albums if I find them in some way so freakishly noteworthy that I am unable to ignore them. (This may inevitably extend to 1/2 * reviews on occasion, though I doubt it.)

Do not assume that if I do not review it, I have not listened to it. I probably have. You may receive my silence on any given album as either taciturn approval, disinterest, or abject loathing - according to which inference most comforts you. (Or, maybe I just haven't gotten around to it yet.)

(But, please still feel free to suggest/recommend albums.)
