Notes on my ratings: [reworked AGAIN]

It's very hard to get me to dislike something! So most of my ratings will be positive. Everyting rated 3 and above is 'my taste', with 4-5 being my favourites. So far, there are only 3 albums rated 5 - Murmuure, Berserker Generator and Freed from the World - which are recent albums I think are doing something really special, and serve as a reference for my making and thinking about music. 1.5-2.5 is 'okay', usually something thats good but really inconsistent or that I just couldnt get 'into' (albums might make it here for 'petty' reasons like the band being nazis or the singer sleeping with underaged girls). 1 is unsalvagably bad music. .5 is reserved for so-bad-its-good, ridiciulously insincere focus-tested corporate sludge, the best of which is Herb Alpert's 'Blow Your Own Horn' - I listen to .5s more than I listen to 5s, tbh.

I'm way less strict with movies, my favourites are 3.5 upwards, the rest is stuff I didnt really enjoy, .5 is white supremacist propaganda movies.
