Hard drive died. So had to start over. Figured it was just easier to re-add everything as I go through it. Also, I have decided I hate ratings for the most part. And overall I have found this sites ratings lackluster at best. Too many people either down-rating or up-rating entire genres, discographies, styles and what have you just for kicks or to show some form of tr00 or kvlt symbolism. Personally, I either like it or I don't. That being said, I figure a really simple rating system works best for me. I don't care for puzzling over whether to dock something a point or so because of a certain sound here or there. Nor am I going to plow through music I don't like just to maybe discover some hidden gem that will change my entire way of life. I listen to almost anything. I may not like it all, but I listen to it all the same. I am a fan of most rock, indie, punk and metal, and have more crap than I know what to do with. I am adding it as I re-listen to it or as I find the interest to add it. I also have to state now I am a bit maniacal when it comes to music, as I am both a collector and a hoarder (yes I said it). If I find it on sale, I'll buy it even if I am not that fond of the music. I am strange that way. Anyway... the ratings:

5 - Used for albums that I really enjoy. They are not necassarily perfect and may have a song here and there I find dull or so, but they are solid and absolutely enjoyable for me at least. If I really like it, it goes here.

4 - These are albums I enjoy for the most part. They may be weak here and there in certain areas, but overall the positives outweigh any negatives. If I can remember the album, it goes here.

3 - This is my middle ground. I don't have any real opinions on this music. It did not grab me in any real way, but it also did not bother me in any way. It is just background noise and forgettable music to me. If I can not pay attention to the album, it goes here.

2 - Poor stuff here. Maybe not all bad to be honest, but negatives start outweighing positives at this point. If I remember the album in some negative way, it goes here.

1 - Sucks. Seriously. It takes a lot for any release to reach this low. The music has to do something to actually offend me, or annoy me to some end to be dropped in this pit of despair and indignity. If I have an actual dislike for the album, it goes here.

I am very fond of female vocals in metal, rock, punk & grind, and am always interested in new or obscure artists I have yet to hear of.
