As for singles: I rate the a-side.

I'm a fan of the "bump" button. Whenever a rating changes I use it. Not all of my recent ratings are first takes.
I also use it whenever I add a track rating to an already rated record.

Average track rating ≠ record rating

I have multiple editions of several records. But as I don't like the "multiple" tag I catalog them with this priority:
Vinyl > CD > MP3
