Name: Mike
Age: 21
Country: Spain
Occupation: University student
Hobbies: Music, anime & manga mainly. Also books, movies and sports.
Favourite genres: alternative rock, slowcore, progressive rock/metal, folk, darkwave, art rock, hip hop, psychodelia, symphonic metal, visual kei, electronica, j-pop
Hated genres: screamo and harcore, dubstep, pop (the radio/MTV one), reggaeton and latino, punk (sometimes)
Artists I've seen live: Arctic Monkeys (x2), The Killers (best so far), Silvio Rodríguez, Joaquín Sabina, Los Enemigos (x2), Bon Jovi, Scorpions, Woodkid, Miles Kane, The Courteeners, Palma Violets, Smile

I started listening music by myself when I started highschool, but I didn't start listening to albums and wanting to discover new artist until I was around 17. Since then, I've been listening to new music now and then. I rate the albums I listen to depending of the enjoyment they brought me. I have no idea of music theory outside a bit I learned from playing guitar, so I don't give a fuck (or can't give a fuck) about the 'objective' music quality of an album. Also, as I'm not a English native speaker I can't focus 100% on hearing the lyrics (as I do other things while listening to an album, as Internet, homework and that) so lyricism is an aspect I appreciate but I don't focus on so much (even though is one of the parts I consider most important in a song).

My ratings explained:
5.0 = Masterpiece: perfect, literally or almost, top tier quality
4.5 = Loved: most of the album is great, but not godly
4.0 = Enjoyed: very good album, not my style or not that great, but was a very nice listen.
3.5 = Liked: not so great overall but has a decent number of very good moments. Better than the average.
3.0 = Interesting: more or less average, but has more pros than cons.
2.5 = Meh: pure average, has nothing that would make me come back again. Not my thing, but not bad at all.
2.0 = Weak: below average. I don't like this, but I can certainly appreaciate that it has certain musical quality.
1.5 = Bad: this is painfully average and has few redeemable musical qualities.
1.0 = Horrible: The worst thing a slightly above shit-tier intellectually capable human being can do. It is music, but it is f*cking awful.
0.5 = Not music: This is not music. Random noise and other meme things that have no minimal intrumentalization or harmony.

*Note 1: Obviously my perception of quality is absolutely subjective.
**Note 2: My ratings are given based in a >1000 album pool experience, and most of those albums are considered among the most brilliant ever. Probably all my ratings would go higher as soon as I started to listen to more mid/low-tier music.
