i listen to a lot of things but i certainly have my favorites. mostly industrial, metal, and noise

i dont really rate stuff that often cause i dont really care that much. i listen to much more music than my ratings suggest

please take my reviews and shit with a grain of salt since its usually pretty hard for me to articulate what i actually think of an album

in my free time i listen to music, play the guitar, watch movies and tv, read, and complain

feel free to recommend stuff to me or pm me for skype etc

Acid Rap is a god dam classic, why is it overlooked here, wtf. We should usually love that stuff because it's super accessible and not trying to be edgy. That's one of the happiest albums I know. Best hip-hop album of the decade by someone not named Kendrick or Kanye.

yeah for sure, that's what made Acid Rap really stand out, the sincere and infectious positivity, I think hip-hop needed that. And Kendrick's on that too and even Kanye at least says some things to that effect.

For starting with Prince, you definitely gotta get Purple Rain, but it's probably his poppiest, but it's a masterwork with a huge and cinematic beginning and end. Parade is probably my favorite LP of his because it has top notch songwriting with a little colorful experimentation to the production, he was really at his peak at that point. I think the fan favorite is Sign O The Times because it encompasses pretty much every style he ever did. But he has so many essential LPs and they all bring something different to the table, like Dirty Mind is freaky and sounds like it was made in an apartment and the first two are all analog falsetto-funk. Also the live bootleg Small Club is like the crown jewel for the ultra hardcore fans, it smokes.

Thanks for the nice comments - Not sure I've reviewed a lot of stuff in the genres you favor, but there's a world of music I've never heard out there and I'm always willing to listen to something different. Enjoy your summer !
