Ha ha yeah, your review of Lifeblood is how I found you. I've only been a fan of the Manics for 2 years but they're already my favorites for this decade. Lifeblood has been my, well, lifeblood, these past few months. I totally get that sensation you felt when you heard that little musical part that made the song sound anew. That's the feeling I get with "Empty Souls."

Since you're a big R.E.M fan, I figured you might be interested in this retrospective podcast about them, if you haven't heard it already. One of the speakers is the founder of Fluxblog and the writer of Pop Songs 07-08 (the huge song-by-song review blog)

Thanks for the welcome. I read your review of Green and thought it was spot on. Then saw you were also into a couple of other bands I really like (Wilco, The National, Radiohead). I've got thousands of albums to add and look forward to seeing how our tastes intersect. This site is great!
