Oh yes, I remember your profile now - good work! I agree they hit a peak with Boing Boing, haven't heard their latest yet. I like the humorous side to K-Pop too:)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egNscFXjq6w
I liked Cosmic Girls song (Apink Ultra lol), haven't taken a close look at Gfriend yet but not so keen on their MV songs so far. Hope Umji is feeling well now tho C: I'm looking forward to new releases in 2017 by Girl's Day & Lovelyz especially (also, any funny interviews on Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook)!
I already named that GsD CF song as the 2nd best K-Pop song of 2016 on another site lol! Have you also tried the Asian pop forums - I got disillusioned by the trolling & endless clichés but will try out Entasia again if it re-starts. i'm also not usually into 2ne1/4min -style k-pop but I liked G.I - Beatles, GP Basic - Black Bounce, J.Park - Truth Is and Tiny-G'S 1st single (all hip-hoppy gems). I've been adding 100+ producers/songwriters to the db so full credits will soon be possible hopefully 4 some EPs, if not full albums yet. Am I a perv 4 liking this? (tragically, they've disbanded already): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWl1pR8byoc
There's loads of rock/pop I've heard but yet to rate e.g. that Softs album, mainly coz I haven't played them in ages.
My reply 2 your ghost-post: I suppose GsD are making more money for the company by doing ads and film/tv roles than by releasing new songs but I hope for an EP or something soon. I didn’t like Red Velvet to begin with but their recent releases are a lot better. Not much caring for SM Ent’s direction generally though at present – strange that Korea’s biggest label hasn’t used many of its best songwriters IMO. I don’t think I’ve heard of kpg forum(? )I’ve been a member on several but the most time on Entasia before it death spiralled into the outer cosmos :(
I've been 'working' on my new list about fav nugu songs but still need to enter a few more groups onto the db e.g. Baba and maybe SUS4. Have you abandoned your MonoTree/SwT profiles lol? I found Migala to be a bit ponderous & samey, soz.. K-Pop is pretty much unknown in UK, is it doing better in Peru? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2cWsr5YzeM
Listening to some recent live performances on music shows makes me think there's probably too many girl groups in kpop and the scene is a bit flat right now. RV were ok though, I should get round to rating one of their EPs. I tried googling Peruvian girl groups and all I got were Alma Bella (I guess that would be the 'sexy concept'!) who aren't even on rym yet:'( Dedekind was good in places but ideally needs to be combined with some melody 'n structure imo (parts of it sounded like La dUSSELDOrf "Individuellos"/Eno).
